Natty Dreadlocks and The Bear #149

Wow, you mean a world famous cartoonist has me on his buddy list?

Actually it is very selective editing of a long critical diatribe against my work and was meant to be totally sarcastic as it was surrounded by other "great" critiques as "... terrible Art Fag web comics with vague messages" and "your comics are horrid." When I was drawing this movie poster I did what I believe all movies do and only printed the parts that made my work appear to be great and left out the harsh criticism. However, if I ever collect "Dread..." in print form that "Art Fag" comment goes on the back cover.

Art fag? Wow, what closed minded, small minded, bigot said that? Working for the LGBT community, I thought I was the art fag ...

I ran afoul of a young "Furry" and her "Furry" friends by asking why they used the word "Faggot" so easily as an insult. I've since been told it depends on "context" but unless you are talking about a bundle of sticks or twigs I don't know of any other "context" than as an offensive term for homosexual.

Nobody refers to bundle of sticks or cigarette is a fag anymore. The only reason it is used is in a derogatory way. Even how black people use the "N" word to themselves, I still think belittles the person. I think nobody should use the word Fag anymore. People are just imbecilic.

Thanks, for clarifying this for me, that is what I believed as well. However, just for inquiring about their use of the word I was called "faggot" and "a political correct troll" among other things. I tell you, Hell hath no Furry.

Oh god ... I hate how bigots use term "politically correct" at other people to justify hate. Why is it that closed-minded people always have to open their mouths? It is not politically correct, but it is morally and constitutionally correct. We live in a society that means we have to give up some of our rights to protect the rights of others, not me me me. If you are not rich and live on your own island, maybe one should think about being more "politically correct".

If you ever do collect the comic, let me know and I will provide you with a better quote. I might even give you a well written intro (if you cannot find anybody more world famous than me).

Mon, Jun. 2nd, 2008 04:18 pm (UTC)

That's a deal( you're more than world famous enough for me my friend).

I think I am worldly known as there are people in different countries that have read my stuff, but I would not go as far as famous. :P
