Those elite few that actually read my "blog" may remember that I took a "brief" sabbatical from creating comics while I moved from the New Mexican Bordertown I had been living in to the Hopi Indian Reservation in Arizona. However, what began innocently enough as a mere time out quickly turned into a long time off and started to look more and more like a permanent vacation with the passage of time. I joked that it would take me until October to get unpacked after the move but it turns out the joke was on me as I've just now hung the last pictures on the wall and gotten my studio organized.
Long time readers may also recall that I announced that I had drawn a new superhero strip entitled "Midnight Agents." The trouble is I drew those strips 4 3/4" x 16" and my scanner glass is 8 1/2" x 11 1/2." Therefore, until I ink them all and can find a copy machine to reduce the strips down to a more manageable size I'm afraid that I won't be able to post any of their adventures online. I also mentioned purchasing "Manga Studio" software and drawing a new story called "Jonin." But it too has proven to be problematic as I haven't had time enough yet to learn to use this software and I feel that the story could really benefit from it. So in the mean time, while I try to come to terms with drawing digitally I've created "The Arid Zone," an entirely new science fantasy. Finally, after a four month hiatus "Zinc Comics Weekly" will begin updating again regularly starting one week from today and then each Wednesday thereafter. I appreciate your infinite patience and still hope that I can count on each of you to be "Weekly" readers.
