It's a new year but I know that I'll still be dating everything 2007 for a month at least. Although, for some reason I dated my Meatfist pin-up 2008. I guess it was a strange glimpse into the future and I consider it my first drawing of the new year as well. I submitted several cartoons to Journey's Annual Arts Edition and received an e-mail that one of them would be printed but I've yet to see it. Journey is a free paper published in Gallup, New Mexico and I was hoping to be offered space for a monthly comic strip. Yet, so far, I've had no such luck. I also reached out to several national mini-comic distributors and the local chapter of the International Cartoonist Conspiracy. But I haven't received any response from either of them. Nor have I received my password to Webcomics Nation. There are other web comic hosting sites. But WCN's website looks so much better than that of Comic Genesis, Drunk Duck, or Smack Jeeves. It also appears easier to navigate than ComicSpace or OnlineComics. WCN claims to be the easiest site to post your comics on and I sure hope that space upon it is worth the wait. But, it has been over two weeks now. I've looked at several web comics over the past 15 days and am impressed by the amount of talent showcased on-line. I will also admit to being a little intimidated but I am looking forward to joining all the other cartoonists in cyberspace soon.
